Cabinet Painter/ Spray Booth Operator
Summary

ProCraft Cabinetry Chicago is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cabinet Painter/Spray Booth Specialist. We are looking for a professional experienced in high-end cabinet finishing, specifically for luxury refinishing projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in surface preparation, precision masking and taping, and spray finishing. We expect applicants to have extensive knowledge of professional painting techniques, home preparation, and the use of spray tools to ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications
•Ability to lift to 50 lbs
•Verify colors and sheens match samples in the showroom
•Learn the different methods of priming cabinets
•Utilize senders to ensure smooth finish
•Learn the types of primers used, when to use them, how to thin and clean them
•Learn the how to assemble, clean and re assemble a paint sprayer
•Learn to identify damaged cabinets for cracks, Knicks, scratch.
•Notify management how much time it takes to perform a task so that appropriate planning can be made

Responsibilities
•Learning the basics of cabinet refinishing, prep work needed to refinish cabinets, the time needed to accomplish each task, to provide excellent cabinet finishes
•It is the painter's responsibility to learn how to paint different style cabinet, and also ensure that each cabinet painted is free of flaws
•A painter will learn how to handle each order, and process according to customer specifications. Additionally, the Painter will notify management if there are any flaws that can't be fixed
•Remove and label cabinet doors
•Remove and label cabinet hinges
•Remove and label cabinet drawers
•Remove Cabinet door handles/knobs
•Place hardware that was removed in baggies, for easy re installation
•Learn how to clean cabinet doors, drawers, cabinet boxes, underside of cabinets, with cleaners and scuff pads/rags to ensure they are free of dirt/grime/grease/oil etc.
