Job description

Your job is more than a job.

The RN Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care based on the standards of care and the policies of LCMC Health. The RN delegates to professional and non-professional personnel involved in the delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

  • A
  • ssess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients in the sports medicine unit.

  • M
  • onitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status, responding promptly to any changes.

  • dminister medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

  • P
  • rovide post-operative care, including wound care, pain management, and patient education.

    2. Assisting in Procedures and Surgeries:

  • ssist in preparing and positioning patients for in-clinic procedures and surgeries.

  • upport surgeons and medical staff during in and outpatient surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety.

  • nsure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and prepared for procedures.

    3. Coordination and Collaboration:

  • ollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and execute effective care plans.

  • ommunicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and post-operative care.

    Qualifications:

  • strong>Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
