Locums - Nurse Anesthetist CRNA - CRNA - Minneapolis - Minnesota

Opportunity:

Job Details:

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position seeking full-time coverage
  • Must live 50 miles or more from facility to be considered
  • Minnesota is not a compact state - appropriate licensure required
  • Supervised practice model
  • Skills checklist required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 weeks per month and minimum 36 hours per week required
  • Two consecutive weeks per month required for the first three months of assignment; after three months, every other week schedule may be honored
  • Coverage needed: FTE - 40 hours per week x 4 weeks per month
  • Shift details: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available; schedules include 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Optional 12-hour beeper call available on some Saturdays and 8-hour weeknight call available (not required)
  • Opportunity for occasional overnight shifts on weeknights and/or weekends (not required)
  • Support staff: Care Team Model 4:1 with 24-hour Anesthesia Aid Department to turn rooms over and bring supplies
  • Patient population: Ages 12 and older
  • Tertiary facility - Level III
  • EMR: Epic
  • CRNAs do not perform blocks, arterial lines, epidurals, or spinals
  • Specialized care procedures involved
  • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (Tier 2 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, multi-source required upon hire)
  • Required licensure: Licensed Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse Anesthetist - MN Board of Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required

Facility:

This is a large, well-established tertiary care hospital located in the Minneapolis area, offering a wide range of specialized medical services. The facility operates under a supervised CRNA model with a supportive Care Team structure and a dedicated 24-hour Anesthesia Aid Department. As a Level III facility, it provides comprehensive anesthesia services to patients ages 12 and older, utilizing Epic EMR and maintaining high standards of specialized patient care.
