  • 2-5 years of experience in game presentation, live event production, or sports entertainment at the collegiate, professional, or equivalent level (football or basketball preferred).

The Department of Athletics is committed to delivering innovative, energetic, and inclusive game environments that engage fans, enhance student-athlete experience, and strengthen the Texas State brand on a national stage.
Position Overview
Texas State Athletics is seeking acreative, strategic, and detail-oriented individual to lead all aspects of in-venue entertainment and live event production across Bobcat Athletics. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Promotions, this position is a key member of the External Operations team and serves as the architect of the live game atmosphere for all sports, with direct oversight of football and basketball game presentation.
This role will shape how fans experience Bobcat Athletics-from pre-game storytelling and in-game energy to sponsor integration and post-game moments-ensuring every event reflects a Power-conference standard of excellence.
Job Duties
Key Responsibilities
Game Presentation & Show Production
  • Lead the development, execution, and evolution of game presentation for all Texas State Athletic events, with primary responsibility for football and men's and women's basketball.
  • Serve as game day producer/show caller, overseeing run-of-show scripting, timing, music, lighting, videoboard content, and in-venue entertainment elements.
  • Direct all videoboard operations, audio elements, and live production workflows, ensuring a seamless and engaging fan experience.

Video Board & Creative Integration
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all video board content, including hype videos, motion graphics, animations, and live camera features.
  • Collaborate with creative, video, marketing, and communications staff to align in-game content with brand standards and storytelling goals.

Sponsorship & Revenue Activation
  • Partner closely with the department's multimedia rights holder to execute and deliver compelling, sponsor-driven in-game promotions that maximize partner visibility and revenue impact.
  • Ensure sponsorship elements are seamlessly integrated into the overall game script without disrupting fan engagement.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Collaborate on recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervising student employees and game day production staff, fostering a professional and educational environment.
  • Collaborate with cheer, dance, bands, spirit squads, mascot, facility operations, and event management to create a unified game atmosphere.

Strategy, Innovation & Compliance
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the fan experience, incorporating current trends in collegiate and professional sports presentation.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of NCAA and Pac-12 Conference policies related to game presentation and fan engagement.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve live-event challenges in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
