Work Environment

This full-time position is centered on onsite patient care, offering a collaborative atmosphere where physical therapists work closely together to share insights and strategies. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. With modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, our rehabilitation center provides an ideal setting for effective patient treatment and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their unique goals and physical needs.
  • Manage a manageable caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, to provide dedicated attention to each individual.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans that incorporate a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques, focusing on reducing pain and enhancing mobility.
  • Deliver high-quality rehabilitation services that include manual therapy and therapeutic exercises aimed at improving patients' functional abilities.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols based on outcome measurements to ensure effective recovery.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options, while motivating them to maintain commitment to their rehabilitation goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment modalities via electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
  • Advocate for patients to utilize alternative treatments that lessen their reliance on medications and the need for surgical interventions.
  • Encourage wellness by promoting strength training, flexibility, coordination, and lifestyle adjustments tailored to the patients’ circumstances.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily focuses on orthopedic outpatient clients, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The therapist in this role will work with diverse patient demographics, customizing treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance physical functioning in everyday activities.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
  • No history of board or disciplinary actions against the license.
  • Sound knowledge of manual therapy techniques and experience with exercise program design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically EMR software like WebPT, is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating the ability to handle a variety of conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with patients and staff alike.
