This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology designed to aid in effective rehabilitation. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Spring Leaf Physiotherapy, you will engage in a variety of key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations that include reviewing pertinent medical history, performing standardized assessments, and making treatment recommendations based on evidence-based practice.
• Communicate evaluation results and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families, involving them actively in the goal-setting process to ensure personalized care.
• Implement customized treatment protocols that are adaptable to the patient's evolving condition and aligned with current healthcare practices.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, documenting any changes in patient status that may necessitate updated intervention strategies.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring all patient documentation is accurate, timely, and reflective of their rehabilitation progress.
• Meet established productivity expectations while maintaining exceptional quality in patient care and documentation.
• Engage in marketing initiatives to promote our services within the community.

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse demographic, ranging from adolescent athletes to seniors, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet their unique needs and functional goals.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia is mandatory.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• While prior work experience is welcomed, it is not a prerequisite for application.

Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly valued, enabling you to bring a knowledgeable perspective on treatment modalities and patient engagement strategies. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is advantageous, as you will be responsible for documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.
