Overview

The World Series of Poker (WSOP), the most prestigious brand in poker and global leader in live and digital gaming events, is seeking a high-impact Director of Sales to drive revenue growth across its expanding portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and media sales initiatives tied to WSOP’s live events, digital platforms, and broadcast content.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales leader with deep relationships across brands and media agencies, and a proven track record of closing high-value partnerships in sports, entertainment, or media.

Key Responsibilities Revenue Generation & Partnerships
  • Lead sales efforts to secure sponsorships and brand alliances that drive revenue across WSOP live events, digital platforms, and owned media.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with Fortune 500 brands, emerging advertisers, and strategic partners.
  • Create innovative, integrated partnership packages leveraging WSOP’s global brand, audience, and content ecosystem.
  • Package and sell media inventory across digital and linear channels, including ESPN broadcast integrations and commercial inventory.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and broadcast partners to maximize monetization of WSOP programming.
  • Develop customized media solutions that align with partner marketing objectives and audience engagement opportunities.
Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Build and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with WSOP’s growth objectives.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and partner needs to inform go-to-market strategies.
Relationship Management
  • Leverage existing relationships with brands, agencies, and media buyers to accelerate deal flow.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for key partners, ensuring long‑term value and renewals.
  • Represent WSOP at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Qualifications
  • 7–10+ years of sales experience in sponsorships, media sales, sports/entertainment, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in closing high‑value, multi‑platform partnerships.
  • Strong existing network of brand marketers, media agencies, and decision‑makers.
  • Experience selling digital media, broadcast/linear inventory, and integrated marketing solutions.
  • Deep understanding of sports, gaming entertainment, or live event ecosystems is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self‑starter with a highly entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
