Sports Clinic Director & Physical Therapist
Department: Clinical
Job Status: Full-time
FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt
Reports To: Regional Director
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Clinic Director is to ensure optimal clinic function through effective staff and patient management.
We are currently seeking a Clinic Director to join our upcoming Springfield, VA location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring a high standard of patient care and satisfaction throughout the clinic to maintain and advance optimal clinic function
  • Collaborate with the management team to: develop and implement clinical policies and procedures; manage clinic budget, supplies and needs
  • Produce a majority of external patient referrals and facilitate the introduction of other staff PTs for these patients' care
  • Lead and manage new Staff PT onboarding to effectively train, mentor and coach new staff PTs and ensure effective company and clinic onboarding
  • Conduct in-services over continuing education courses for clinic and/or company
  • Organize and participate in community, schools, clubs, fitness facilities, etc., events
  • Host a minimum of one clinical student and additional students as available
  • Continue to operate in the physical therapist capacity for own therapy clients; including but not limited to conducting assessments and developing treatment plans, implementing optimal therapeutic techniques with clients, and educating clients on self-management strategies
  • Ensure timely, accurate and up-to-date billing and documentation for patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes for self and all staff
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and clinic throughout the day

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinic Director is required to supervise their assigned clinic(s) in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include onboarding employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems as they relate to these employees.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy
  • 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with a strong background in sports rehabilitation.
  • 6-12 months of leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain a Virginia license or PT compact privileges
  • Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, or the ability to obtain one.
  • One approved specialist or advanced certification

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE:
  • $90-100K, based on experience and number of PTs managed
  • Bonus opportunities available
  • Additional incentives tied to clinic growth
