WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Momentum is looking for a Senior Vice President, Partnerships to lead and grow key client relationships through best-in-class sports partnerships and integrated experiential marketing programs. This role sits at the intersection of partnership strategy and account leadership leading the development of an ecosystem around passion points of sports fans. The SVP will serve as the senior day-to-day business lead, responsible for driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering impactful sponsorship and experiential programs. The ideal candidate brings deep agency experience, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in developing and activating integrated campaigns that drive measurable results. You are equally comfortable shaping partnership strategy, negotiating with properties, leading integrated execution, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
Leadership
  • Set the strategic vision for the Partnerships discipline.
  • Guide the team in goal setting and professional development timelines.
  • Raise the external profile of the Agency, while serving as an internal Sponsorship subject matter expert, spearheading creation of thought leadership and as a resource to other areas of the business.
  • Represent Momentum as a sports & entertainment sponsorship SME, providing industry expertise and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a client confidant, mapping to senior-level contacts for Agency clients.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration, regularly communicating with counterparts in relevant areas across the business including, Business Leadership, Research, Data & Analytics, Strategy and Finance.
  • Create an environment that facilitates mutual respect and partnership across functions, and facilitates innovative thinking, appropriate risk taking, open lines of communication and regular performance feedback.
  • Management and mentoring of all direct reports. Fostering an environment of mutual respect and partnership, strategic thinking, appropriate risk taking, open lines of communication, on-going performance feedback, professional development, and adherence to agency policy.

Business Acumen & Subject Matter Expertise
  • Represent Momentum as a sports & entertainment sponsorship SME externally, providing industry expertise and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead junior and senior team members on sponsorship consulting projects and client deliverables in conjunction with business leadership team, including cross-departmental collaboration, where necessary.
    • Manage leadership of day-to-day client communications, with the ability to step in and address any issues with client leadership.
    • Drive the development of strategic POVs, sponsorship evaluations, property analyses, competitive audits, landscape overviews and other relevant presentations.
    • Present findings and internal recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage consulting engagement workstreams and smaller engagements to ensure progress toward delivery and support the Growth team on pitches and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Ability to translate high-level business objectives into sponsorship-focused solutions for clients.
  • Partner with other core internal stakeholders, such as the Strategy, Insights & Analytics teams, and Sponsorship CLT/SLT on major projects such as client portfolio optimization as well as growth efforts such as RFP responses and new business pitches, taking an active lead role where appropriate
  • Serve as the discipline's "Chief Executive Officer", evangelizing the capabilities internally and supporting the refinement of tools and processes.

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Preferably in Marketing, or a related field of study.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or JD) preferred.
  • 12 years+ of client leadership/client management and sponsorship experience (on the brand or property side)
  • Sports, Music and/or Entertainment Sponsorship experience.
  • A successful track record of client-focused or growth-focused revenue generation.
  • Agency, or property-side experience strongly desired
  • Exceptional relationship and influencing skills
  • Strong negotiation experience on partnership and sponsorship deals
  • Experienced in strategic thinking and ability to see, articulate and drive to the big picture
  • Passion and solution-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Strong leadership skills and experience developing sponsorship professionals, ability to manage a team
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and sell through ideas effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-changing environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Exceptional client management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-disciplinary teams in delivering exceptional work within budget parameters.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills - interested in building the next generation of sponsorship professionals.

The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $225,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; location and region; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
