The AMM is responsible for bringing the global Red Bull brand to life at the regional level through strategic athlete partnerships, athlete-driven projects, and targeted marketing initiatives. This role involves establishing and maintaining Red Bull's presence by utilizing branded athletes and product-placement opportunities to widen the consumer base and establish distinct brand differentiation. Furthermore, the Athlete Marketing Manager must possess both strategic vision and executional prowess, enabling the management and promotion of athletes at national and global levels beyond the regional scope.

Job Description

ATHLETE MARKETING

Collaborate with the Regional Marketing and National Athlete Marketing teams to develop a comprehensive athlete marketing strategy for athletes within your designated region and focus areas.

Establish individual athlete goals and target outcomes aligned with the international and national sports marketing strategy.

Identify and recruit new talent, ensuring that the most promising U.S. athletes are recognized and in a position to join the roster.

Develop tailored marketing, communication, and performance plans for each managed athlete.

Ensure athletes and key opinion leaders have a deep understanding of product efficacy and effective communication strategies.

Create customized branding solutions for each managed athlete, driving innovative design, visibility, and execution consistently.

Negotiate athlete agreements and contracts, encompassing performance expectations, goals, retainer fees, bonuses, branding rights, availability, scheduling, and usage rights.

Conceive and implement groundbreaking, transformative athlete projects that showcase the athlete's personality and align with the brand identity, ensuring meaningful consumer engagement.

Utilize existing national and international athlete assets to create targeted outcomes and engagement touchpoints within your region or focus areas.

Facilitate the external communication of product and branded athlete stories through collaboration with internal teams, such as Communications, Digital, and Red Bull Media House.

Strategically leverage international athletes traveling and competing in the region to enhance brand visibility and impact.

Collaborate with Regional Sports Marketing and Sports Event Marketing teams to establish authentic connections between the product, brand, and local athletes.

Work closely with athletes' support networks and partners to create additional opportunities to amplify the product and brand message.

Assist athletes in bringing their project ideas to fruition by managing project workflows, budgets, operations, schedules, cross-functional team meetings, stakeholder coordination, and content output.

ATHLETE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Facilitate goal setting, strategic planning, and performance management for each athlete under management.

Monitor, assess, and manage the performance and marketing objectives of each athlete biannually.

Conduct individual assessments and evaluations of each managed athlete's career plan and professional environment, including trainers, coaches, agents, family, other team managers, training conditions, off-season/on-season schedules, equipment, and innovative practices.

Incorporate relevant and cutting-edge performance solutions into each athlete's program.

Ensure every athlete under management has a thorough understanding of product usage and brand representation.

Establish realistic performance benchmarks for the duration of each athlete's contract and continuously monitor and evaluate progress.

Identify and assess any performance-related issues affecting an athlete and develop appropriate solutions or termination plans if necessary.

DAY TO DAY ADMINISTRATION

Collaborate and work in team environment with other sports and marketing team members

Own and manage assigned athlete projects and associated budgets

Support region's Sports Marketing Manager and team, as well as HQ Director of Athlete Marketing in building annual business plans

Qualifications

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sports marketing

Extensive knowledge of sports management and the sports industry

Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to train and deliver presentations

Demonstrated success in planning, organization, and project management

Strategic and creative mindset

Receptiveness to new environments, ideas, processes, innovations, and opportunities

Entrepreneurial spirit - independent, proactive, results-driven, and consumer-focused

Employees may be required to lift and or move up to 25 pounds or more as needed 

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $85,360 - $128,040 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
