About Us:ย 
MASI Sports Academy has spent 12+ years building youth leadership and sports performance programs across the DMV. Weโ€™re not just a sports program โ€”we teach character, ownership, and responsibility through basketball, flag football, soccer, and performance training, using a proven, structured curriculum.

What Youโ€™ll Do:ย 
  • Lead sessions for students elementary/middle school students using our Coach Guide โ€” every drill, rep, and discussion topic is already scripted for you.
  • Run daily warm-ups, skill development, and small-sided games/competition.
  • Facilitate short character and stewardship discussions with students.
  • Track student attendance on a simple student checklist.
  • Create a positive, structured, high-energy environment every session.

What You Donโ€™t Need:ย 
  • No coaching certification or elite playing background required.ย 
  • Our curriculum is built so a responsible, engaged adult can run a high-quality session without prior training experience โ€” the system does the heavy lifting.
  • No prior classroom/teaching experience required, though itโ€™s a plus.

What You Do Need:ย 
  • Must be 18+ and pass a background check/clearance for the relevant county (PGCPS, MCPS, and/or BCPS) โ€” weโ€™ll guide you through this process.
  • Comfortable being active and on your feet for multi-hour sessions.
  • Reliable, on time, and able to commit to a full season once started.
  • Genuine enjoyment working with elementary and middle school student.
  • Foundational sports familiarity in at least one of: basketball, flag football, or soccer.

Hourly Rate: Coach ($20-25/hr)ย 

Schedule: After School hours (Tuesdays Thursdays, between 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM or district-specific afterschool hours]
