GAMEDAY INTERN State College, Pennsylvania On-Site
THE RUNDOWN Playfly Sports is looking for a Gameday Intern to join our team in State College, Pennsylvania.
The primary responsibility of this position is to collaborate with the Partnership Services and Sales Team to provide outstanding service at university sports property athletic events. This position will assist in the daily corporate involvements, including but not limited to, coordination of corporate events, gameday responsibilities, and perform other tasks as required to help ensure the success of university sports property.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
• Support full-time Client Services and Sales staff with game day tasks, including but not limited to, Beaver Stadium Block Party set up and breakdown, on-site promotions, Corporate Hospitality Village set up and breakdown, and on-field presentation fulfillment. As well as other necessary tasks to ensure the overall success of Penn State Sports Enterprises.
• Assist with the execution of all hospitality elements and events on game days and non-game days
• Take photos and documentation of promotions, signage, events and contractual obligations to maintain an accurate image library for annual recaps
• Track, maintain, and organize game day inventory
• Provide high quality customer service and communication
• Represent Playfly Sports, Penn State Sports Enterprises and Penn State Athletics in a professional manner
• Other job-related duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• Minimum 1 year commitment (full school year)
• Customer service and/or brand partnership experience
• Responsible, motivated, and comfortable interacting with fans, Corporate Partners, and other vendors
• Strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented, flexibility, and willingness to participate in multiple events
TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Responsible for attending all home Football games and other assigned sports home games (including afternoon, night, and weekend games)
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs
• Must have reliable transportation
