Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote hotel sales and banquets.
  • Meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals for hotel group bookings.
  • Stay in contact with hotel group leaders throughout their stay and handle any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct on-site property visits and must have the ability to travel out of state for site visits, attend trade shows, and participate in networking events.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient collaboration and communication with all appropriate operating and marketing departments.
  • Maintain all hotel contact records in the hotel property management system.
  • Maximize occupancy and ADR
  • Have ability to work flexible hours
  • Have ability to travel out of market to meet with current and prospective clients as well as meeting planners
  • Maintain records off all sales leads
  • General administration for meetings, conferences, and wedding groups

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must have strong guest service, communication, and proven decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer skills mandatory
  • Ability to work autonomously and function independently (within JEI / GDW parameters)
  • Ability to network and develop strong relationships
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality
  • Minimum of 5 years Hotel Sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Marketing or related field is preferred, but work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
