Your Role

We are looking for an energetic self starter to joinourRaleigh office and work on exciting projects that impact our community. As a Gensler Project Designer in our Raleigh office, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces. It's your job to contribute to a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled sports facilities. You will leverage your technical acumen to drive projects from concept through build in a collaborative team while mentoring your team members. With you as part of the design team, sports architecture has never been so engaging.

What You Will Do

  • Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
  • Lead documentation Concept to Construction, process from and mentor less experienced designers
  • Manage communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants
  • Resolve complex design issues to produce innovative solutions
  • Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
  • Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with Project Manager

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 6-10 years of related experience, including demonstrated success, or a passion for, delivering sports related facilities (ground up and renovations for training facilities, arenas, stadiums, ballparks, etc.)
  • Passion and excitement for sports related projects
  • Familiar with sightline calculations and assembly related design challenges
  • Proficiency with Revit and/or Rhino, Illustrator,
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills to include leadership, organization and mentoring
  • Collaborative and team-conscious
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace and style
