Your Role

  • Accountable for maintaining department according to company standards, ensuring exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of the store
  • Serve as a product expert - able to answer questions on products, sell products, and add on sales to the original request. Review product information sheets; be familiar with top selling items in order to make recommendations, be able to demonstrate the use of merchandise to customers, as requested.
  • Greet and serve customers in the fishing/sporting goods department.
  • Share your interest and knowledge of local fishing and outdoor sports.
  • Receive, store, and distribute sporting goods and related products.
  • Actively promote increased sales by suggesting additional products when assisting customers.
  • Demonstrate the use of fishing and sporting goods products to customers.

About You

  • Must have some knowledge of sporting goods, fishing, reels and related products.
  • Able to provide Sunshine Ace’s famous customer service.
  • Ability to exert moderate, though not constant, physical effort - typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 40 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Move heavier items with assistance.
  • Requires the ability to move heavier objects with assistance.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills.
