FloSports is the leading digital platform for underserved sports, combining live and on-demand streaming, original programming, data, and technology to help sports grow their audiences and build sustainable businesses, from youth to professional levels. By bringing thousands of events and communities onto one platform, Flo creates scale where none previously existed, connecting passionate fans with the sports they love while giving athletes, organizers, and rights holders the tools to reach and engage a global audience.
Flo streams more than 50,000 live events annually across sports, including motorsports, wrestling, hockey, track & field, cheer, jiu-jitsu, NCAA Division II and III athletics, and more. We're looking for people who are passionate about sports, embody accountability, collaboration, curiosity, positivity, grit, and excellence, and are motivated to help grow and elevate the communities we serve.
THE ROLE:
  • Project based work with specific goals that can be added to your portfolio
  • Holistic understanding of how video drives success in a fast-paced, performance-driven company
  • Have a dedicated supervisor/mentor to guide and challenge you throughout the duration of the program
  • Learn the ins and outs of an OTT sports media company
  • This internship is available from August - January
  • Seeking a minimum availability of 25-30 hrs/week.
  • This is a paid internship, offering $18/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Creating compelling video content for multiple FloSports verticals/sports, in multiple formats (16x9, 1x1, 9x16), for multiple platforms
  • Primary responsibilities will be editing, but there will be occasional camera work opportunities within the Austin area
  • Working collaboratively to support goals of the FloSports Content team
  • Must be available from September - December

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must have experience crafting compelling video content.
  • Must be versed in NLE software. (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro)
    • Preferred: Experience with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
  • Must be able to hit deadlines and anticipate when a deadline won't be met
  • Applicants must have experience receiving and implementing video notes
  • Interns may be required to ship video equipment
  • Highly motivated to learn about the world of sports video production
