Job description

At PrizePicks, we are the fastest-growing sports company in North America, as recognized by Inc. 5000. As the leading platform for Daily Fantasy Sports, we cover a diverse range of sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and Esports titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike. Our team of over 550 employees thrives in an inclusive culture that values individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their level of sports fandom. Ready to reimagine the DFS industry together?
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to serve as the financial co-pilot to our commercial, product, and growth organizations. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance, this role will own the financial models, KPIs, and analytics that shape decisions across new product investment, user acquisition, retention, promotional strategy, sportsbook economics. The right person is equally comfortable in a forecast review with the executive team and deep modeling of complex strategic initiatives.
This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to do more than report numbers. You will help set the commercial agenda, pressure-test new bets, and build the analytical muscle that informs how PrizePicks deploys capital.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with commercial leaders across Product, Marketing, and Operations to translate strategy into financial plans, business cases, and post-mortem analysis
  • Own the Revenue Forecast Model for the business, including top-line revenue, key performance metrics, LTV, CAC, payback, and cohort-level analysis
  • Drive the rolling forecast and annual operating plan cycles partnering with FP&A and business owners to deliver accurate, defensible, and decision-ready outputs.
  • Build and maintain financial models for promotional spend, pricing changes, new sport launches, market expansion, and product feature investments.
  • Deliver executive-ready analysis on commercial performance, including weekly/monthly business reviews, board materials, and ad-hoc deep dives for the CEO, CFO, and Head of Commercial Finance.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs that connect product behavior (e.g., Sports UX and Trader UX engagement) to financial outcomes, surfacing risks and opportunities early.
  • Benchmark against the market by tracking competitor economics and industry trends across prediction markets and fantasy sports (e.g., Kalshi, Polymarket, DFS peers) to inform strategic positioning.
  • Improve the toolkit by upgrading models, dashboards, and data pipelines - partnering with Data and Engineering to scale repeatable analytics in BigQuery, Looker, and Excel/Sheets.
  • Mentor and uplevel junior analysts on the team, raising the bar on analytical rigor, communication, and business partnership.
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, commercial finance, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical function - ideally with at least 5 years inside a high-growth B2C tech or gaming business
  • Exceptional modeling skills. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets is a given; you have built complex driver-based models from scratch and know when a model is over- or under-engineered for the question at hand. There will be substantial modeling and analysis involved in this role.
  • Strong commercial instincts. You can move from a P&L line to a customer behavior to a product decision and back, while leading initiatives end-to-end and driving top-line impact
  • Comfort with data at scale. Working knowledge of SQL and experience pulling from data warehouses (BigQuery preferred). You don't need to wait on someone else to validate a number.
  • Exec level communication. You can compress a messy analysis into a one-page narrative for executives and tailor the message to the audience.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required - MBA or CFA preferred
What makes you stand out:
  • MBA | CFA
  • Experience in sports betting, fantasy sports, prediction markets, iGaming, or another regulated B2C category.
  • Familiarity with marketing mix modeling, incrementality testing, or LTV/CAC frameworks at scale

Benefits you'll receive:
In addition to your great compensation package, full-time employees will be eligible for the following perks:
  • Company-subsidized medical, dental, & vision plans
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Annual bonus
  • Flexible PTO to encourage a healthy work/life balance (2 weeks STRONGLY encouraged!)
  • Generous paid leave programs, including 16-week paid parental leave and disability benefits
  • Workplace flexibility and modern work schedules focused on getting the job done, not hours clocked
  • Company-wide in-person events and team outings
  • Lifestyle enhancement program
  • Company equipment provided (Windows & Mac options)
  • Annual performance reviews with opportunities for growth and career development

You must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
