The Material Handler is primarily responsible for accurately loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently, sorting according to purchase order (PO) and SKU, using a radio frequency (RF) gun to locate and select merchandise for shipment to stores, scanning boxes, opening cases, and placing them on the correct conveyor for sorting, packing single and multiple customer orders, and placing correct shipping labels on packages and placing on correct conveyor for shipment.
We are hiring for start dates beginning May 11 through through June.
Seasonal positions will last for up to 90 days with the option to convert or extend based on business needs and performance.
Schedules:
  • 3rd shift:
    • Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am
    • Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:30am
  • Weekend Shift
    • Friday - Sunday 5am - 5:30pm

Responsibilities
  • Accurately use and operate an RF scanning device
  • Efficiently and accurately process orders by packing merchandise for shipment to stores and customers
  • Unload merchandise for processing and load merchandise for shipment
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures
  • Process Return To Vendor, returned, and liquidation items
  • Bring any problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director, or HR manager
  • Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
  • Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly and 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
  • Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
  • Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • 6+ months of previous experience in a warehouse facility (preferred)
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read, write, conduct business-related mathematics, and analyze data as required
  • Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English* to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills and effectively communicate in case of emergencies.
    *This requirement is critical to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. It is not a requirement of Foot Locker that employees speak English only while at work.

Base rate paid bi-weekly: $20.12 / hr
3rd shift differential: $1.25 per hours worked
Weekend shift: Should you work your full scheduled 36.00 hours, 40.00 will be paid out.
