Team Description:

The Data Solutions & Platforms group is part of Enterprise Technology & Data. We are responsible for designing and developing enterprise solutions and managing a diverse portfolio of products and tools related to Data, Analytics, AI and Automation used by business teams across The Walt Disney Company.

The Data Architect position is one of the key roles on the team. You will have the opportunity to lead and influence the architecture for several strategic programs that will shape the future of data, analytics and AI for The Walt Disney Company. Architecting data platforms and designing data products will be a focus for the role in support of the company's Data Unification strategy.

You will be working in a challenging, fast-paced, highly collaborative and rewarding environment, as a member of product and engineering teams that work closely with each other and with business leaders to deliver innovative and industry-leading data solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Architecting high-scale, secure and interoperable data platforms across the enterprise to enable AI and analytics applications

  • Architecting data domains and designing data products to be shared across the enterprise

  • Architecting cross-segment semantic layer and data catalog solutions

  • Designing an agentic architecture for exposing data from enterprise data lakehouse domains to AI applications

  • Developing MDM strategy and architecting MDM solutions for complex enterprise domains (e.g., Finance, HR)

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7 years+ experience in data architecture and developing enterprise data, analytics and AI solutions

  • Experience architecting and developing high-scale cloud data platforms

  • Experience architecting and developing master data management solutions

  • Experience with data governance

  • Experience with Snowflake

  • Experience with AI/ML

  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate well to both technical and business audiences

  • Strong collaboration skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $148,300 - $198,800 per year and in Burbank, CA is $155,700 - $208,700 per year and in Seattle, WA is $163,100 - $218,700. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
