Job description

2026 - 2027 School Year
Position Description: 
Dundee-Crown High School is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed leader who will carry out the duties as the Senior Class Sponsor.




The purpose of the class council are:
1.  To offer the students the opportunity to develop leadership qualities.
2.  To provide citizen training.
3.  To offer the student body a part of the organization and administration of special activities of the school.
4.  To make possible a liaison between the student body, school administration, and faculty.
5.  To serve as a service organization benefiting the total school program. 
Expectations:
1.  Hold monthly meetings 
           -  A specific day of week/time will be determined for all class councils so it does not coincide with other activities.
           -  Attendance must be recorded.
           -  Keep notes/minutes from each meeting.
           -  Meetings will be held more frequently during Homecoming & Prom; or other events taking place. 
2.  Attending Student Council meetings
           -  Assign one student representative to attend each Student Council meeting. These students can rotate.
           -  This student will report information to STUCO regarding the class, and report back information from STUCO to the class. 
3.  Fundraise for class account
           -  Class must fundraise each semester for the senior class gift and to off-set prom tickets. 
           -  Fundraising additional funds can only help the class during Senior year.
4.  Pep Assembly participation
          -  Sponsors will help lead class participation activities during assemblies.
5.  Organize and plan Senior Sunrise and Sunset
6.  Homecoming
           -  Assist with Hall decorations, this includes planning, supervision and participation before, during homecoming and assisting with the take-down of decorations.
           -  Plan and oversee Movie Night during homecoming week.
           -  Sponsor supervision required for all events. 
           -  HOCO activities will be assigned by class.
           -  Examples: Themes, parade, decorations, activities, pep assembly, dance set-up and take down.
           -  Sponsors will attend pre and post homecoming meetings.
7.  Chaperone Prom and Prom Activities
8.  Organize and sell senior shirts
9.  Lucky to be a Charger Activities Plan, organize and execute. 
10.Assist with the planning of the Senior Picnic and end of the year activities. 
































11. All other duties assigned by the Assistant Principal for Athletics and Activities.
