Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year in Clayton County, GA . The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals improve their communication skills and overcome speech-related challenges. This role involves working with children in the schools. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with the supervising Speech Language Pathologist and other on-site education professionals to provide the collaboration and support needed to fulfill the role.
Total Communication Therapy is a speech therapy private practice owned and operated by a certified speech-language pathologist. We are seeking to further expand the Total Communication Therapy team.

Duties
  • Provide therapy support under the supervision of licensed SLPs.
  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve speech, language and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with educators, teachers, and SLPs to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session outcomes, while following district guidelines.
  • Educate staff and parents on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Stay updated on advancements in speech therapy practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
Skills
  • Experience working with children in educational settings.
  • Knowledge of school practices related to speech therapy.
  • Familiarity with school systems and experience implementing IEPs for students.
  • Strong background in speech therapy.
Requirements:
  • Active Georgia SLPA license (or eligibility)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time and travel between school sites as needed (Schools are 8 minutes between each other)
