Position Overview

Golden Years Assisted Therapy is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dedicated team in Belton, Missouri. Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic outpatient office setting where you will have access to state-of-the-art therapeutic tools and equipment. The clinic fosters a collaborative atmosphere among staff to support innovative approaches in patient care. The standard working schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional abilities, focusing on mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive skills to establish an accurate baseline for therapeutic intervention.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are specifically tailored to meet each patient's needs, goals, and preferences.
• Provide direct, hands-on therapy to patients aimed at enhancing their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, and cooking.
• Engage in one-on-one therapy sessions to improve fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, employing a variety of occupational therapy techniques.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery techniques, exercises, and lifestyle modifications to aid in their rehabilitation journey and to maintain long-term independence.
• Collaborate constructively with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other specialists—to deliver coordinated and optimal care for patients.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.

As an Occupational Therapist at Golden Years Assisted Therapy, you will work with a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Our patients range from young adults to senior citizens, requiring tailored approaches that address their various needs and abilities. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals regain confidence and independence in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold a current Missouri state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
• Strong foundational knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, modalities, and principles related to a wide spectrum of conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a strong commitment to collaborative practice.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team dynamics.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred, showcasing hands-on competency in diverse therapeutic modalities.
• Demonstrated success in working with patients of varying age groups and health backgrounds.
• Proficiency in contemporary therapeutic tools and techniques that cater to a broad range of rehabilitation needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 based on experience and qualifications.
