Job description

Spectra Gutter Systems is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to drive revenue growth, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships throughout the Houston, TX market. Representing an industry-leading provider of gutter systems and exterior building products, this role is responsible for expanding existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and executing territory sales strategies that support branch growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for business development, relationship management, and delivering exceptional customer service. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to manage an assigned territory independently while consistently achieving sales objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow an assigned sales territory through proactive customer engagement and strategic business development.
  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new business while expanding relationships within existing customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with contractors, builders, distributors, and other key customers throughout the local market.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently follow up on leads, quotes, and business opportunities.
  • Conduct customer visits, job site meetings, and territory development activities to strengthen customer relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed established sales goals while supporting branch revenue growth and profitability.
  • Maintain pricing integrity and effectively manage margins while delivering competitive customer solutions.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Accurately document customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline updates using CRM and company reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and internal teams to support territory planning, customer satisfaction, and overall business objectives.
  • Represent Spectra Gutter Systems professionally while providing exceptional customer service and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support customer meetings, business development activities, and branch initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of successful outside sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business, growing existing customer accounts, and building long-term customer relationships.
