About MUSC Health’s Midlands Division:

MUSC Health’s Midlands Division includes three hospitals located in one of South Carolina’s most dynamic regions. Together, they deliver a full spectrum of care for the area’s rapidly growing population, supported by advanced technology, shared commitment to clinical excellence, and the resources of the state’s only comprehensive academic health system.

  • MUSC Health Kershaw Medical Center – 119-bed facility located 30 minutes NE of Columbia in Camden, SC. This community hospital features a 15-bed ED, and offers a collegial, small-team atmosphere while maintaining a strong connection to the Division and the MUSC Health network.

  • MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown – 332-bed acute care hospital in downtown Columbia featuring a fast-paced, 16-bed ED, and an award-winning Heart & Vascular Center.

  • MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast – 75-bed hospital located in one of Columbia’s fastest-growing suburbs. Features a modern 14-bed ED designed for efficiency, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

Position Highlights:

  • APP support and outstanding nursing care – our NPs and PAs are experienced in Emergency Medicine

  • To give our physicians a work-life balance, scheduling is 2-3 months in advance

  • State-of-the-industry outpatient facility featuring 15 patient rooms and a dedicated fast track. 

  • Dedicated emergency department advanced GE ultrasound machine for providers and Glidescope Core.  

  • Stat laboratory services on site 

  • Comprehensive on-site imaging services, including digital X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, limited interventional radiology and more.  

  • Easy access to transfer to main campus from the other Midlands facilities.

  • Multi-specialty support for patient care needs.  The Columbia Medical Center - Downtown functions as a tertiary care facility with subspecialty services, including neurosurgery, urology, and interventional, cardiology, cardiothoracic, surgery, and more.
