TeleWorld Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Hardware Lab Engineer  with strong hands-on experience in RF lab environments and Python-based automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and automating RF lab test scenarios, with a focus on 5G signal generation, signal analysis, and programmable lab instrumentation. This role requires close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure repeatable, efficient, and accurate lab validation.

  • Operate and configure Rohde & Schwarz SMBV100B 5G signal generators for RF and 5G test scenarios.
  • Design, build, and maintain RF lab setups, including:
    •  Programmable attenuators
    • Couplers, circulators, splitters, and other RF/EE components
  • Perform signal level and spectrum analysis using spectrum analyzers and related RF test equipment.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate:
    • Test execution
    •  Instrument control
    • Data collection and result logging
  • Execute repeatable lab tests for RF performance, signal integrity, and regression validation.
  • Troubleshoot RF and lab setup issues and provide root-cause analysis.
  • Document test procedures, automation scripts, and test results clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with RF, system, and software engineers to support development and validation activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years + experience working in an RF or wireless lab environment.
  • Experience with 5G or RF signal generators, specifically R&S SMBV100B or similar.
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals (attenuation, coupling, isolation, signal levels).
  • Proficiency in Python programming for test automation and instrument control.
  • Experience using spectrum analyzers for RF signal analysis.
  • Familiarity with programmable lab instruments and automated test setups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience automating RF test equipment using SCPI commands.
  • Knowledge of 5G NR, LTE, or wireless communication concepts.
  • Experience with test frameworks, data visualization, or result reporting tools.
  • Prior experience supporting R&D, validation, or system test labs.
