Job Overview:

Pay Range: $16.91hr - $21.91hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic understanding of computers.
  • Ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour.
  • Ability to work in a biohazard environment practicing good safety habits.
  • Flexibility to work nightshift, weekends, holidays, on call, and overtime as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environment.
  • Ability to adapt to change and handle complex tasks with accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills to understand specimen types related to ordered tests.
  • Ability to learn and understand compliance regulations related to test ordering.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department.
  • Handle A-station duties and presorting of specimens.
  • Manage pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory.
  • Perform imaging, microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
  • Sort, pick, and scan samples for storage.
  • Pull samples from refrigerators and freezers.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Adhere to core values, safety, and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area.
