Overview

Join a dynamic specimen processing team as a Specimen Technician and become an integral part of delivering quality laboratory services. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced, production environment while supporting critical laboratory functions during overnight shifts. Responsibilities

Perform general support functions within the specimen processing department, including presorting, pickup, and delivery of specimens.

Operate imaging and microfilming equipment, centrifuges, and aliquoting instruments accurately and efficiently.

Manage data entry processes, ensuring the accurate input of alphanumeric keystrokes at high volume rates.

Learn and understand different specimen types related to various tests ordered by clients.

Maintain compliance with safety, safety regulations, and quality standards, adhering to biohazard safety practices.

Support departmental productivity goals and quality standards, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Communicate effectively with team members and other staff levels to promote a positive work environment.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and departmental policies.
