Job Overview:
  • The Corewell Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and is responsible for collecting blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing. 
  • This role ensures accurate, safe, and high-quality specimen collection while maintaining patient comfort, confidentiality, and professional service standards in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Ability to perform accurate and error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in patient information handling.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and professional clinical environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or retail/service environments preferred.
  • Experience with data entry and keyboarding required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
