Job description

Position: Technical Writer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Total Hours/week: 40.00
Remote for now but submit local candidates. Potential to become a permanent position.

This position is responsible for the origination, editing and revision of technical documentation including component specifications and manufacturing standard operating procedures. With appropriate input from other disciplines, this position may also be responsible for the editing and revision of technical reports or regulatory submission documents.
This position requires:
Bachelor's degree in English, STEM, or a technical field, or equivalent.
Ability to navigate formatting and review functions in Microsoft word.
Typing minimum 60 words per minute.
Preferred qualifications include:
Master's degree in English, business or a technical field or equivalent.
Experience in the medical device industry.
Experience in continuous improvement projects- documentation best practices and improvements.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) and electronic document management systems (EDMS) (e.g. MFGPro, JDE, SAP and Master Control).
Experience creating and maintaining macros in Microsoft office.
