What you will do

Johnson Controls helps customers protect people, property, and operations with integrated security solutions built for today's physical security challenges. The Security Products team supports access control, video surveillance, and software platforms that help organizations deploy reliable, scalable technology.

In this role, you will focus on developing new business through the consultant and A&E community, as well as direct strategic end-user initiatives across the Southeast. You will represent Johnson Controls Security Products, including Software House, American Dynamics, Kantech, and Exacq, while helping customers and partners shape demand for modern physical security technology.

This is a strategic sales role for a relationship-driven professional who can combine technical credibility with consultative selling. You will identify project-based opportunities, influence specifications, support targeted cross-selling, and help expand Johnson Controls Security Products within Transportation and other key vertical markets.

How you will do it
  • Develop new business through consultant and A&E community support, along with direct end-user strategic initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary interface for Johnson Controls Security Products with consultants, architects, and engineers in the assigned region.

  • Identify and develop strategic project-based opportunities within the A&E community.

  • Build business strategies and plans that increase Johnson Controls Security Products representation in RFPs.

  • Present solutions to audiences ranging from highly technical stakeholders to C-suite leaders.

  • Drive highly integrated system sales by understanding the customer's business, needs, organization, and long-term goals.

  • Support targeted cross-selling of the broader security portfolio to key end users and strategic vertical markets, with a focus on Transportation.

  • Work with key vertical industry organizations and associations to strengthen brand visibility and influence.

  • Support business development efforts for Transportation and help the product team meet vertical-specific solution requirements.

  • Lead the sales process from inception to completion to ensure customer needs are met.

  • Partner with internal product sales teams to grow overall regional revenue.

  • Work closely with product management and development to help ensure products deliver the features and functions customers need.

  • Own outcomes with accountability, integrity, and a customer-focused approach from first contact through final close.

  • Stay close to the work by engaging consultants, architects, engineers, and end users early to uncover needs and remove barriers to progress.

  • Use candor and continuous problem-solving to sharpen strategies, improve RFP positioning, and refine demand-generation tactics.

  • Win as one team by collaborating with product management, development, and internal sales colleagues to align solutions with customer outcomes.

  • Translate technical product capabilities into clear business value for both technical and executive audiences.

  • Balance strategic planning with disciplined follow-through so opportunities move smoothly from discovery to award.

What we look for

Required

  • 10 years of industry experience in the sale and/or installation of top tier integrated access control and video management systems

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered

  • Market knowledge of the region, and specifically the consultants within that region

  • Strong presentation skills to be able to exhibit theJohnson Controls Security Productstechnology in a comprehensive manner to all levels of audience

  • Technical aptitude to be able to learnJohnson Controls SecurityProducts technologies to the level of competent representation to engineering customers

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $87,000- 136,00 (Salary to be determined by the education,experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignmentwith market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take intoaccount volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes acompetitive benefits package.
