This role is responsible for cultivating relationships with key specifiers, including lighting designers, architects, designers, and engineers.

How success is defined:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with specifiers, including lighting designers, architects, and engineers to expand brand presence and achieve regional sales goals.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the specification and design community.
  • Working closely with our Specification Sales Representatives, serve as a trusted consultant, offering product knowledge, design insight, and sales support to them and the specification and commercial marketplace.
  • Manage the lifecycle of regional sales programs and specification projects.
  • Partner with reps to execute regional marketing initiatives and promotional events.
  • Contribute to regional trade shows, and execute weekly training sessions, and client presentations.
  • Serves as a resource to assist in securing information requested from sales team and communication with local sales teams.
  • Manage Generate, on a regular basis, effective ideas for trade shows, promotional items and incentives.
  • Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values.
  • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule. While being present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams.

What you will bring:
  • 5 - 8 years' previous experience in sales, Inside sales or related field.
  • Bachelor degree (BS/BA)
  • Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating ERP and Sales Systems.
  • Experience in the lighting industry, specifically the commercial marketplace and/or architectural lighting is preferred.. Other experience in interior design, home building products, and/or luxury home furnishings is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $111,000
