Introduction
We are seeking a Quality Manager - Mining Crushers and Classic Crushers to join our Crushing Business Line team. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of operational and supplier quality across the Crushing Products portfolio, ensuring that quality management systems, supplier performance, and product compliance consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. Your role plays a crucial part in driving continuous improvement, ensuring equipment quality and reliability, and reducing non-quality costs, which will positively impact customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business performance. In this position, you will report to the VP of Project Delivery for the Crushing Business Line.
This position is located in Brookfield, WI and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options; however, it involves up to 40% global travel to supplier and customer sites.

You will join a team of quality and supplier development experts dedicated to ensuring world-class quality across Metso's Mining Crushers and Classic Crusher offerings for both capital and aftermarket. The team strives to embed robust quality processes throughout the value chain, from supplier qualification to final equipment release.
We are currently strengthening global quality standards, developing suppliers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and project execution.
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Project Management, global QA teams, suppliers, and customers. Our team culture is all about collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making. Team members are located across multiple global locations, supporting Metso's international manufacturing and supplier footprint.
What you'll do
  • Lead all quality-related activities for Mining Crushers, and Classic Crusher Spares products.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including SAP QM, and Jaggaer, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), quality manuals, standards, and specifications
  • Manage supplier audits, approvals, and ongoing performance, ensuring compliance with QMS, HSE, and contractual requirements
  • Drive supplier development activities, including 5D/8D problem-solving, root cause analysis, preventive actions, and supplier chargebacks when required
  • Investigate quality issues using RCA and QN/QM processes and communicate findings across relevant departments
  • Ensure accurate reporting of non-quality costs and QMS performance to the Management Team and key stakeholders
  • Act as final quality authority (in collaboration with Engineering) for equipment release and shipment to customers
  • Support project execution by monitoring compliance with inspection requirements, witness points, and customer reviews, including on-site inspections when necessary

Who you are
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a senior or supervisory quality role, with extensive exposure to quality systems and supplier management
  • 15+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing or engineered products (preferred)
  • Strong ability to read technical drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles
  • Solid working knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO 9000 standards and quality management systems
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Quality Module or similar quality management software
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing methods such as welding and machining, with international code knowledge (AWS, ASTM, ASME, EN)
  • Experience with supplier audits, quality cost management, and corrective/preventive action processes
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with NDT methods (MT, UT) and advanced supplier development programs
