Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Transportation Construction Engineer to oversee and manage the planning, design, and construction of transportation infrastructure projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring construction activities are executed in accordance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications while delivering high-quality transportation facilities on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, construction oversight experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, stakeholders, and internal project teams.




Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage construction activities for transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, and related facilities
  • Ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, engineering standards, and applicable safety regulations
  • Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, designers, agencies, and project stakeholders throughout the construction process
  • Review construction schedules, cost estimates, pay applications, and change orders
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols
  • Identify and resolve construction issues, conflicts, and field conditions in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records
  • Support project delivery to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality expectations are met


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience in transportation construction engineering, construction management, or inspection
  • Knowledge of transportation infrastructure standards, construction methods, and materials
