Job Title: Special Projects Engineer 3

Location 4250 Porter Road SW Quinton AL 35130 (plant Miller)

Duration : 3 months

Job Summary:


The Special Projects Engineer will provide technical expertise and support for projects within the organization that fall outside of typical norms. The role involves assisting with project planning, execution, and coordination to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives. This position requires extensive experience in electronics, instrumentation, program configuration, distributed/process control systems, and plant electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PLC and DCS Cabinet Support:
    • Provide support for PLC and DCS cabinet cleaning of instrumentation during Miller Unit outages.
    • Plan, coordinate, execute, and communicate effectively with the outage team.
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Assist in the development of project plans for special initiatives.
    • Collaborate with project teams to gather and organize project requirements.
    • Provide support in coordinating project activities to ensure timelines are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
    • Contribute to preparing and maintaining project documentation.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support in identifying and resolving project-related issues.
    • Apply engineering principles to solve challenges and ensure the smooth execution of projects.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
