Job Title: Event Sales Manager

Employment Status: Full-Time (Exempt)

Reports to: Events Director


Role Summary: The Events Manager is responsible for driving private event sales, overseeing event execution, and expanding Wish You Were Here Group's presence within the Dallas market. This role serves as both a strategic sales leader and operational liaison, managing the full event lifecycle from lead generation and client development through event completion and post-event reporting. 


The ideal candidate is highly organized, hospitality-driven, sales-oriented, and experienced in cultivating relationships within the corporate, social, luxury, and community event sectors. This individual will play a key role in establishing the Dallas venues as premier destinations for private dining, large-scale events, brand activations, and hospitality experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

? Drive private event revenue across all Dallas venues through proactive lead management, networking, relationship building, and outbound sales efforts.

? Respond to all inbound event inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high conversion rate from inquiry to booked event.

? Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, agencies, concierges, hotels, local businesses, and community partners to generate recurring business opportunities. 

? Identify opportunities to increase event revenue through strategic upselling, venue buyouts, custom experiences, food & beverage enhancements, and brand partnerships. 

? Represent Wish You Were Here Group at networking events, tastings, venue tours, and community functions to increase market visibility and awareness.

? Support the execution of on-site marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns across all Dallas venues. 

? Coordinate with the marketing team to prepare and deploy printed collateral, signage, and other in-venue marketing materials. 

? Provide on-site support for influencer events, brand activations, media dinners, and other marketing initiatives to ensure seamless execution. 

? Build relationships with local hotel concierges and community partners to drive awareness and generate private event referrals. 

? Ensure all guest-facing marketing materials, including postcards, check presenters, and promotional collateral, are current and properly displayed.

? Lead clients through the event planning process from initial inquiry through execution, ensuring a seamless and elevated hospitality experience.

? Conduct site tours and client meetings while presenting venues in a polished, sales-focused, and hospitality-driven manner.

? Create customized proposals, event estimates, menus, and contracts tailored to each client's needs and event objectives.

? Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding timelines, logistics, floorplans, catering selections, rentals, entertainment, and operational requirements.

? Ensure all event details are accurately documented within Tripleseat and communicated internally across departments.

? Oversee all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event documentation to ensure operational accuracy and preparedness.

? Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, marketing, and venue management teams to ensure seamless event execution.

? Attend and lead weekly event meetings with venue leadership teams to review upcoming programming and operational needs.

? Be present onsite for key events, installations, buyouts, VIP experiences, and large-scale activations to ensure execution aligns with company standards.

? Proactively problem-solve and manage last-minute changes while maintaining a calm, solution-oriented approach.

? Maintain accurate event records, contracts, deposits, invoices, and final billing within Tripleseat and company systems.

? Oversee post-event reconciliation and closeout processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

? Track sales performance, booking pace, lead sources, conversion rates, and monthly event revenue reporting.

? Ensure all event menus, collateral, proposal templates, and venue materials remain current and aligned with brand standards.

? Assist in developing and refining operational procedures, sales systems, and event workflows as the Dallas market continues to expand.


Requirements

Qualifications: 

? 2+ years of experience in hospitality sales, private events, luxury events, restaurant events, or venue management preferred.

? Proven ability to drive sales and successfully manage multiple high-level events simultaneously.

? Strong understanding of hospitality operations, food & beverage service, and luxury guest experiences.

? Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills. 

? Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

? Experience with Tripleseat, Toast POS, Google Workspace, and CRM/event management systems preferred.

? Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments. 

? Professional, polished, and hospitality-driven demeanor.

? Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and onsite event support as needed.


Physical Demands:

? Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.

? Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.

? Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.

? Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.

? Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

? Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
