Job Summary
Winston Retail is seeking enthusiastic, polished brand ambassadors to support the planning and on-site execution of a public viewing lounge event series for the FIFA World Cup. The brand ambassadors will serve as front-line hosts for guests, help maintain smooth operations during event hours, follow safety procedures, and complete required daily reporting to ensure the event is a success. This is a unique opportunity to engage with fans in a dynamic setting while delivering a memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an on-site operations and guest-facing host during viewing lounge dates: welcome guests, answer questions, and direct visitors to restrooms, food options, information booths, and other amenities.
  • Help set up, place, and maintain event signage and ensure the space remains organized and guest ready.
  • Coordinate with event production partners and vendors and escalate issues to the designated on-site lead as needed.
  • Participate in daily pre-open huddles to review priorities, partner activations, staffing positions, and peak arrival timing based on game schedules.
  • Support partner activations and guest experience features to ensure safe flow and positive engagement.
  • Monitor cleanliness and presentation during event hours; assist with trash/space upkeep and report major issues promptly to on-site janitorial services.
  • Follow safety, security, and incident protocols: maintain awareness of exits and restricted areas, and report/document issues per the established process.
  • Support event communications by using designated tools and maintaining clear coordination with the main point(s) of contact.
  • Complete daily visit reports including attendee counts, photos, and anecdotal feedback
  • Use provided training materials and scripts to ensure consistent brand-aligned guest interactions; share on-the-ground insights to improve future dates.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting events, hospitality, guest services, retail operations, or community activations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; comfortable engaging with families and the general public.
  • Ability to follow run-of-show plans, staffing positions, and safety requirements.
  • Comfortable escalating issues quickly and appropriately.
  • Attention to detail for reporting and documentation.
  • Reliability and punctuality for call times aligned to event/game schedules.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and support light event set-up tasks.
  • Smartphones are required for reporting:
    • IOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer
    • Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in live event environments with AV/streaming partners and on-site troubleshooting escalation paths.
  • Experience tracking attendance/foot traffic and capturing qualitative feedback for post-event reporting.
  • Bilingual communication (English/Spanish) or experience supporting multilingual guests.
  • Familiarity with radio/walkie-talkie communications and event staff protocols.
