St. Andrew Catholic School in Coral Springs, Broward County, Florida has an opening for a qualified full-time K-8 Spanish Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate has the ability to help students learn written and spoken Spanish, tailoring the lessons and vocabulary and grammar to the appropriate age. The teacher must be skilled at teaching all levels of Spanish planning, organizing, and implementing the appropriate instructional program under the direction of the principal. The Spanish Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree in Education or Spanish.
  • Florida Department of Education K-12 teaching certificate for Spanish.
  • Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
  • Experience in teaching Elementary and Middle School Spanish.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills with use of innovative instructional technologies such as iPad and other Apple devices.
  • Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar required.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, including the dress code.
