What is a Spam job?

A spam job typically refers to fraudulent or unsolicited job postings designed to deceive job seekers. These postings may involve scams, phishing attempts, or misleading offers that require personal information or upfront payments. It's important to verify job listings by researching the employer, avoiding requests for sensitive data, and using reputable job platforms.

What are spam jobs?

Spam jobs typically refer to roles or activities that involve sending unwanted, irrelevant, or unsolicited messages, often for advertising, phishing, or spreading malware. These jobs are generally considered unethical or even illegal because they violate privacy and can cause harm to recipients. It's important to avoid jobs that require sending spam, as they can damage your reputation and may have legal consequences.

Senior Email Deliverability Operations Consultant
Role Summary
Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better.
Email is one of the most important ways our customers connect with their audiences, and deliverability is foundational to that success. As a Senior Email Deliverability Operations Consultant, you'll help improve how HubSpot builds and operates reliable, scalable email systems while partnering across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to improve customer outcomes. You'll combine technical expertise with strategic problem-solving to resolve complex deliverability challenges, influence product direction, and advocate for industry best practices across the email ecosystem. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional partnership, clear communication, and the ability to influence outcomes across technical and non-technical teams.
What You'll Do
  1. Monitor and improve the health, performance, and reputation of HubSpot's global email sending infrastructure using internal tooling, SQL, AI-enabled workflows, and industry-standard deliverability platforms.
  2. Investigate and resolve complex deliverability issues related to authentication, DNS, spam filtering, sender reputation, and MTA infrastructure.
  3. Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to improve deliverability-focused product experiences and operational scalability.
  4. Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and Deliverability Success teams to guide customers through technical deliverability challenges and best practices.
  5. Analyze email delivery trends, operational metrics, and customer behaviors to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  6. Utilize AI tooling and automation platforms to accelerate investigations, improve operational efficiency, and enhance analytical workflows.
  7. Participate in an on-call rotation supporting deliverability and email sending operations.
  8. Represent HubSpot within the broader deliverability community through industry groups, conferences, forums, and partnerships.
  9. Contribute thought leadership through documentation, playbooks, postmortems, enablement resources, and educational content.
  10. Stay current on evolving industry standards, authentication technologies, anti-spam systems, and global email compliance regulations.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Significant experience working with email delivery systems, MTA infrastructure, and large-scale sending operations.
  • Strong understanding of email authentication protocols including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving sender reputation, blocklisting, and spam filtering issues.
  • Proficiency with SQL and data analysis for monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of DNS, networking fundamentals, and email infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience using AI tooling such as Claude, ChatGPT or similar platforms to improve operational efficiency, research, troubleshooting, or analytical workflows.
  • Experience with third-party deliverability and reputation platforms such as Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, Inbox Monster, Validity, Yahoo Sender Hub, and DMARCian.
  • Ability to communicate complex deliverability concepts clearly to customers and internal teams.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-impact operational environments, including participation in on-call rotations.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and work effectively across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and external industry partners.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with ISPs, anti-spam organizations, or email security providers.
  • Experience participating in or contributing to industry communities such as M3AAWG or similar forums.
  • Knowledge of global email compliance frameworks including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL and regional regulations such as France's CNIL and Italy's Garante.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, educational resources, or thought leadership content.
Where You'll Work
  • Location: North America, Eastern timezone preferred
  • Work location preference eligibility: Remote
  • Travel/Shift: Occasional travel for industry conferences or team collaboration sessions as needed
