Job description

Under the direction of the Vice President of Hotel Operations, the incumbent oversees all aspects of the day-to-day Spa & Salon operations and related services, its financial performance, and provides strategic guidance and oversight of the implementation of strategic initiatives at the Norwich Spa at Foxwoods. Maximizes productivity and ensures adequate staffing levels; inspects and implements necessary safety and sanitation guidelines; and conducts maintenance and housekeeping inspections. High school diploma or GED as well as a minimum of five (5) years of spa management experience at a full-service spa or gaming facility. Two (2) years' experience at a Director, Assistant Director or Operations Manager level required. Must have proven experience at creating a spa environment and experience consistently with a 5 star resort setting. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to motivate, inspire, train and direct management and staff. Must be able to prioritize and be multi-tasked. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to interpret documents such as financials, staff schedules, meeting minutes, safety rules, policy and procedure manuals, standards and procedures, disciplinary notices, and performance reviews. Must comply with established pre-employment screening policies and required licensing approval.
