Job description

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Greenfield, WI is seeking a full-time Spa Director to lead our front desk team, drive membership growth, and accelerate business performance across our established three-location Milwaukee-area franchise.

This is a hands-on sales leadership role. You will lead from the front — setting the pace, modeling sales excellence, and building a high-performance culture focused on results. You will own the front desk operation end to end: team development, scheduling, KPI management, sales execution, and accountability.

Success here requires a proven ability to coach individuals to higher performance, understand the metrics that drive membership growth and revenue, and translate those insights into measurable results. If you have a track record of developing teams, moving KPIs, and delivering sustained sales growth, we want to talk with you.

What you'll own

  • Membership growth — the single biggest opportunity in this spa, and the number you'll be measured on first.
  • Coaching to commission — developing every Spa Associate on the desk, not just your strongest performer.
  • A team of Spa Associates, plus our Guest Experience Director, who reports to you.
  • KPI ownership — conversion, prebook, and utilization are yours to move, not just to report.
  • The guest experience at the front of house, from booking through checkout.

You'll report directly to the owners. Service providers are led separately today; they transition to this role once you've established results on membership.

Your performance will be measured on

  • Membership conversion — turning intro guests into members.
  • Sales execution — lifting the whole desk, measured on your weakest performers, not your best.
  • Prebook — every guest leaving with their next appointment booked.
  • Provider utilization — filling the capacity we have.

Every one of these has a defined floor, target, and stretch, and you'll see the exact numbers before you accept. We don't do vague bonuses.

What you need to succeed

  • 2 to 3 years of sales management experience in salon, spa, retail, hospitality, or another membership or commission-driven environment.
  • A track record you can quantify. Be ready to tell us about a conversion number you personally moved — what it was, what you did, what it became.
  • Coaching ability you can demonstrate. Naming a specific person you developed, and what changed in their numbers, matters more to us than years of tenure.
  • Real accountability experience. You've held a well-liked underperformer to a standard and seen it through to a conclusion.
  • Comfort with data. You can read a report, form a hypothesis, act on it, and measure whether you were right. We run a custom operations platform alongside Zenoti, and you'll work inside it.
  • Flexible schedule including nights and at least one weekend day.
  • Willingness to cover the front desk when a callout happens.
  • Passion for the benefits of massage and skin care. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

What's in it for you

  • $55,000 – $65,000 base salary depending on experience
  • Up to $16,000 per year in performance bonus, paid quarterly — total compensation $63,000 – $81,000
  • Permissive Leave Policy — as a member of our leadership team, you manage your own time off rather than accruing hours
  • 401(k)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance through UnitedHealthcare — medical premiums 50% employer-paid
  • Basic Life and AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability — all employer-paid
  • One complimentary massage or facial every month
  • 30% discount on retail products
  • Employee Rewards Program
  • Direct access to the owners — no corporate layer between you and a decision
