Prime's Accident Claims Adjuster directs and coordinates activities involving claims against company for third-party property damage and bodily injury claims by performing the following duties:
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge
Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred.
Abilities
Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required. Accurate typing up to 45 WPM. Multitasking and a flexible schedule required. Rotating on-call schedule for after-hour injury accidents is required upon completion of a training period.
Experience, Education, and Training
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Property and Casualty investigation and claims handling experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.
Working Environment
Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Call volume and emails can be heavy at times. On-site presence is required.

Responsibilities
Prime's Accident Claims Adjuster directs and coordinates activities involving claims against company for third-party property damage and bodily injury claims by performing the following duties:
- Investigating claims to ascertain validity of claims and extent of company liability.
- Reviews accident reports and communicate with affected parties to determine liability.
- Maintain accurate and timely reserves based on the claim.
- Negotiate and process claims for property damage and/or third party injury claims which Prime is liable and submit claims for payment processing.
- Negotiate settlements to effectuate fair and equitable settlements.
- Coordinate record retention for preservation of pending litigation.
