About the Role:
The Certified Surgical Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment, directly contributing to positive patient outcomes. The technician collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to anticipate the needs of each procedure and respond promptly to any changes during surgery. Attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols are paramount to prevent infection and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Ultimately, the role demands a commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and continuous professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Completion of a formal surgical technology training program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or equivalent.
  • Valid BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room protocols.
  • Ability to pass background checks and comply with healthcare facility regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a hospital or surgical center environment.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and surgical documentation software.
