Job description

The Collier Companiesย is seeking aย Maintenance Technicianย to join our team!

This is an on-site role, reporting from one of The Collier Companiesโ€™ community offices in Statesboro, which offers art museums, contemporary markets, and wilderness trails. It is home to the Splash in the Boro Water Park and the Georgia Southern Botanical Gardens. Statesboro was ranked as one of the best cities to visit in Georgia in 2023.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will supportย the Maintenance Team inย ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Companyโ€™s established standards. The Maintenance Technician is an expert at troubleshooting, diagnosingย problems, and making solutions with a customer service attitude. The Maintenance Technician's responsibilitiesย could include but are not limited to repairs in areas such as HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance.

Your Skills โ€“ Show Us What You Got:

  • Universal EPA certification is a plus!
  • Experience as a maintenance technician for at least 1 year preferred
  • Strong work ethic and an eager-to-learn attitude
  • Apartment housing experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing & HVAC
  • Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented to complete work orders
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights/weekends and emergency-on-call rotation
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service
  • Technician must have basic tools and be able to pass basic maintenance test.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid instate driverโ€™s license

**This is a full-time position that consists of emergency on-call commitment. Overtime commitment in the Summer/Fall turn season.
