Sales Manager, Premium Division

Position Summary:
The Sales Manager of our Premium Division oversees a division of 8-9 sales representatives whom sell beverage products to businesses within assigned territory.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage 8-9 direct reports to ensure performance aligns with expectations and ensure territorial coverage
  • Periodically review and recommend account coverage changes as market dynamics dictate
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to understand their priorities, get new products listed, communicate the priorities with the sales team, and develop programming in the market to enhance brand growth
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with accounts
  • Attend industry and supplier events that could require overnight travel
  • Manage the division's performance through coaching and training
  • Oversee the organization of promotions and other events to market products and grow brands
  • Ensure quality execution of promotional events and retailer satisfaction
  • Monitor division performance through reporting and analysis of data
  • Maintain product knowledge, and effectively communicate information regarding brands to team, accounts, & customers
  • Organize and facilitate Division meetings

Skills/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment. Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines; must possess strong analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills are also required. Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced level of proficiency within Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or management or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ year's wine/alcoholic beverage sales management experience
Compensation:
Southern Glazer's Beverage Company offers an estimated annual salary with a range of $100,000 to $140,000. This salary is an average for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
