Job Purpose

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports strategic sourcing initiatives across facility service trades by identifying, evaluating, onboarding, and supporting vendor partners that align with the organization's operational, financial, compliance, and service objectives. This role executes sourcing activities including market research, vendor outreach, bid coordination, sourcing analytics, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen and optimize the vendor network. Working across multiple trades, regions, and business units, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist leverages data and operational insights to support sourcing decisions, improve vendor coverage, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to customer service and business performance goals.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Sourcing & Qualification: Identify, research, evaluate, and qualify vendors across multiple facility service trades to support vendor network growth, service coverage, operational requirements, and sourcing objectives.
  • Bid Management & Vendor Onboarding: Support sourcing initiatives through vendor outreach, bid and proposal coordination, supplier negotiations, and onboarding activities including contract execution, compliance verification, and documentation management.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sourcing activities, vendor performance, pricing, coverage gaps, and key performance metrics while preparing reports, recommendations, and operational insights to support decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Vendor Relations, Compliance, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support sourcing projects, vendor assignments, service continuity, and business growth initiatives.
  • Process Improvement & Project Support: Monitor sourcing projects, maintain accurate vendor records, support vendor governance activities, and identify opportunities to improve sourcing processes, operational efficiency, and vendor engagement.

Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in sourcing, vendor management, procurement support, vendor onboarding, operations, customer service coordination, or a related business environment preferred.
  • Education & Industry Knowledge: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Analytics, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Communication & Relationship Management: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage vendors, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and manage professional business relationships.
  • Analytical & Organizational Skills: Ability to analyze sourcing data, vendor information, operational metrics, and reporting to support recommendations while managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using CRM systems, sourcing platforms, vendor databases, reporting tools, or other business software applications preferred.
