Job Description:


Insight Global is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher for one of our religious non-profit clients in Detroit. Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager, the dishwasher, supports the day-to-day operations of the kitchen by ensuing cleanliness and upkeep across all kitchen areas, dining room, bathrooms and surrounding grounds. This position contributes to creating a welcoming and hospitable environment for both guests and volunteers, helping to advance the mission of the kitchen.


Core Responsibilities include:


•Wash and store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwashers or by hand

•Clean tables in the dining area

•Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils in clean and orderly fashion

•Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas

•Clean and supply bathrooms

•Sweep or scrub floors

•Monitor equipment used for repairs and report to management as needed

•Receive and store supplies reporting to management when supplies run low

•Sort and remove trash and recycling, placing it in designated areas

•Stock supplies as needed or directed
