TITLE:  Fan Engagement Associate

DEPARTMENT:  Impact & Fan Engagement

REPORTS TO:  Senior Manager of Matchday Experiences

DURATION:  May-December 2026, approximately 25 hours per week.

FLSA:  Non-Exempt

RATE:  $22.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Fan Engagement Associate plays a key role in delivering exceptional matchday and community experiences, supporting the planning and execution of fan-facing activations for Seattle Sounders FC & Seattle Reign FC. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in live, fast-paced environments and is energized by engaging directly with fans.

Success in this position requires more than a passion for events. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and confident operating in dynamic settings-able to make sound decisions under pressure, manage competing priorities, and pivot quickly as plans evolve. They are comfortable serving as a point of contact on-site, using good judgment to resolve issues in the moment while knowing when to escalate.

This individual brings a strong sense of ownership, remains engaged when challenges arise, and consistently demonstrates club values such as Extraordinary Communicator, Trusted Teammate, and Gritty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist with planning and execution of Matchday fan experiences, pre-match events, Mascot and Matchday Assistant coordination for Street Team events & events in the Seattle Community.
  • Assist in the coordination and communication with matchday performers including DJs, musical artists, and community groups participating in matchday activations.
  • Help manage logistics for street team events including coordination of load-in and load-out and filing appropriate event documentation.
  • Serve as a welcoming and informed presence on matchdays, representing the Fan Engagement team to fans and community stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as Partnership Marketing, Ticketing, RAVE Foundation, and People and Culture to align goals and execution of community activations.
  • Serve as the event lead for events at the Providence Swedish Performance Center and Clubhouse.
  • Track event feedback and participation data to help assess impact and improve future activations.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas that support club values and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and storage of event materials at Lumen Field and the Providence Swedish Performance Center and Clubhouse, ensuring spaces remain organized, clean, and fully stocked 

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Experience supporting live events, activations, or community engagement efforts (sports or entertainment experience preferred), or demonstrated interest in fan engagement and event execution.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including fans, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in real time, take initiative and independently drive solutions to completion.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, live-event settings-able to adapt quickly, stay composed under pressure, and make sound decisions when plans change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Photoshop skills are a plus.
  • Team oriented, willing to jump in and contribute where needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

  • This role requires regular on-site presence at our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA, as well as matches at Lumen Field and Starfire Sports Facility, events and meetings in market as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including office hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
  • Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire. 
  • Must be able to facilitate own local travel. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. 
  • Responsibilities include regular work outdoors and may require standing on feet for long periods of time, as well as some lifting of up to 20 pounds.
