Zuern Building Products is a family-owned and operated building material supplier and design company. We have five expansive facilities with complete showrooms in Allenton, Cedarburg, Franklin and Watertown. Zuern Building Products is currently seeking CDL Drivers -Boom Operator to join our Allenton team. Ideal candidate is a motivated self- starter with a strong work ethic. Must have a clean driving record and be able to operate a forklift, moffet and boom. The candidate must be willing to perform manual labor.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Follow all Federal, State, DOT, and company regulations related to commercial vehicle and boom truck operations.

2. Follow company safety policies and best practices while loading, transporting, unloading, and placing materials.

3. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

4. Assist in loading delivery vehicles and verifying loads prior to departure.

5. Inspect invoices and delivery documentation to ensure load accuracy.

6. Perform tie-down, load securement, and pre-trip inspections before leaving the yard.

7. Safely transport building materials and product returns.

8. Operate boom truck equipment to safely unload and place materials at designated delivery locations.

9. Inspect delivery sites and use sound judgment to safely maneuver vehicles, operate boom equipment, and protect customer property during deliveries.

10. Safely unload and place building materials while providing excellent customer service.

11. Meet scheduled delivery deadlines while maintaining safety and service standards.

12. Take and upload required delivery and return photos using the BisTrack app.

13. Perform routine vehicle and boom equipment inspections, basic maintenance checks, and promptly report maintenance concerns.

14. Assist in loading customer pickup orders as needed.

15. Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory when not making deliveries.

16. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, equipment, inventory, buildings, and yard.

17. Protect materials from damage during loading, transportation, unloading, and placement.

18. Work collaboratively with team members to support daily operations and customer needs.

19. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

1. Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.

2. Two or more years of commercial driving, delivery, construction, or related industry experience preferred.

3. Ability to safely operate a boom truck and related equipment, or willingness to complete company-provided training.

4. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe driving practices, load securement, and material handling procedures.

5. Ability to safely maneuver commercial vehicles and boom equipment in a variety of traffic, weather, and jobsite conditions.

6. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members.

7. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to represent the company positively at customer jobsites.

8. Ability to read delivery tickets, work orders, maps, and jobsite instructions accurately.

9. Attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting loads, delivery documents, and placement locations.

10. Forklift certification required or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.

11. Ability to lift and carry 25 to over 100 pounds on a consistent basis with the ability to twist, bend, climb, and move materials safely. Possible weight of 125 pounds and over at times.

12. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when evaluating delivery sites, positioning equipment, and unloading materials.

13. Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.

14. Self-starter who works well independently as well as with others.

15. Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
