This role partners with our General Manager to effectively manage all facets of the gym location's daily operations, including but not limited to, hiring, training, developing, and engaging both team members and our customers. You play an integral part in bringing our mission and vision to life.

  • CLUB OPERATIONS: Be the extra eyes, ears, and voice of leadership, applying your understanding of operations and fitness to enhance our daily operations. Work with your General Manager, team, and others to optimize our member experience.
    • Support the management of our Profit & Loss of your gym, ensuring profitability expectations such as but not limited to, membership, labor, retail inventory, concessions, R&M, and overall operations
    • Be our ambassador, promoting and staying aware of your specific gym's social media and digital presence. Partner with our Marketing Department to ensure proper visibility amongst various social mediums
    • Assist in hiring, training, developing, and mentoring our club team members, ensuring our standards exceed our members' expectations
  • FITNESS: Be our fitness guru - knowing the ins and outs of current fitness trends and activities.
    • Manage our fitness team members, achieving a unique and fun total fitness experience for our members. Includes prospecting, hiring, and onboarding personal trainers and group fitness instructors
    • Hire and develop our personal trainers and GGX instructors, including managing schedules, updating all required training certifications, and auditing our coaches to ensure the highest quality of service is provided to our members.
    • Engage with our members, walking on the gym floor, greeting our guests, and assisting members with any fitness needs
    • Review and monitor our distinctive GOLD's STUDIO programs, from membership engagement, scheduling programs, reporting, and evaluations
  • MEMBER EXPERIENCE: Ensure our team delivers an exceptional member experience, and actively participate and engage with all members - get to know your people!
    • Responsible for the gym member's experience by ensuring and maintaining the highest level of customer service through personal interactions and development and coaching of your team
    • Lead by example - be the charismatic and motivational leader, provide effective decision-making skills, create a memorable experience both for our guests and our team members
    • Assist in the overall success of your gym - from member feedback, to ensuring the best fitness experience, responding to inquiries, whether it's Google Reviews, Social Media posts, or guest surveys, to proper facility operations

  • MULTI-TASKER: You work with poise under pressure while navigating through various requests simultaneously, both internal and external. Your ability to prioritize allows for efficient workflows while delivering outstanding results.
    • Walk the gym floor and engage with members, ensuring they have the best fitness experience all while reviewing team members' tasks and responsibilities are properly executed
    • Ensure compliance through the gym, auditing the gym for safety, maintenance, and repairs
  • OTHER DUTIES: Ensure the overall success of your gym!
    • Engage and participate in your local community - all while ensuring operational efficiency! Serve as the brand ambassador, sharing your passion and enthusiasm for fitness and Gold Gym.
    • Ensure facility is clean and operationally sound. Assist in organizing weights and equipment inspections. Ensure safety hazards are mitigated and removed.

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience, preferably in the fitness or hospitality-related industry. Bachelor's degree in business or related field is desirable!
  • Prior experience in personal training or management of personal trainers are highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of operations and performance metrics, including P&L, budgeting, inventory, employee relations and labor management, facilities maintenance
  • Team up with third-party vendors and internal support teams to ensure proper operations and maintenance of gym facilities
  • Become an expert on Gold Gym's products and target customers
  • Share weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance updates, including wins, learnings, and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain flexibility in your daily schedule to handle communication needs, sometimes outside of typical business hours. Must be flexible and reliable team player, both internally and externally.
  • Must be able to build relationships, genuine connections, and trust, both internally and externally. Must have a customer-centric mentality and commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
  • Must be proactive and possess great organizational and prioritization skills. Must have a high attention to detail and ability to management multiple projects and priorities
