Job Purpose:
- The Sorter - Textiles at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC plays a crucial role in supporting our mission to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work. The primary purpose of this position is to efficiently sort and organize donated textiles, ensuring the quality and usability of items for resale and distribution within our charitable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and categorize donated textiles according to established guidelines, ensuring quality control and proper organization.
- Inspect items for damage or wear, determining whether they meet the standards for resale or require recycling.
- Maintain a clean and organized sorting area, adhering to safety and operational protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize sorting processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking sorted items and reporting discrepancies.
- Support the overall mission of GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC by contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay informed about organizational goals and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the success of the sorting operations and the broader organizational objectives.

Required Education:
